I’m Asher, a Phillips Academy Andover graduate and first-year student at Stevens Institute of Technology. I like working on novel problems and truly believe that if whatever I build isn’t for others, there is no point in building it at all.
Some of my research interests are LLM optimization, African and multilingual NLP, state space models and world models in aerial robotics, and mechanistic interpretability.
I love challenging myself by learning hard things. I also like solving puzzles, reading, cooking, and playing basketball. Check out my progress on some of my mini goals down below!

SentinelQA: Built a multilingual instruction system with task-level routing, accepted as a system paper for the WMT26 @ EMNLP shared task.
BiniQA: Built the first multimodal cultural knowledge question-and-answer dataset with linguists from the University of Benin, accepted for the MRL26 @ EMNLP shared task.
